It’s always a privilege when schools entrust us with new projects. Recently, Lovers Lane School in Newark approached us to rejuvenate their existing MUGA and school pathway. After thorough discussions about the available surfacing options, we collectively decided that opting for an 18mm tufted sports surface would be most beneficial for the school. Our dedicated team started with the removal of the old surfacing and shock pads that impeded water drainage. To enhance drainage, we punctured holes into the existing tarmac base before laying down the 18mm premier tufted sports surface.
Brightly coloured lines for netball and basketball were then meticulously inlaid, adding both functionality and vibrancy to the area. We then got to work on the school pathway, we started with removing the old sports surface and then levelled the subbase. Followed by the installation of the Conipave surface, a blend of rubber and grit aggregate.
